Mixnometry

Mixnometry is the shard-crafting skill: raw materials are converted into elemental Shards at altars, and existing shards are combined into higher shards — Void Shards and Warp Shards (verified in-game, July 2026). It is one of the game's 15 skills, confirmed from the in-game skill list (verified July 2026) — see Skills for the census. It is documented here from in-game observation and does not appear in any datamined skill label on this wiki.

Altars

Two altars are known:

• Elemental Altar — in the grass zone (green zone), next to the church and the nearby camp of level-12 Goblins. Crafts Air, Water, Earth, and Fire shards. This name is confirmed in-game (verified in-game, July 2026) as the official name for the location previously referred to on this wiki only informally as the "grass-zone altar" — same physical altar, resolved naming.
• Void Altar — in the snow area east of the desert lake, where Payasan NPCs are found, on the eastern side of the desert zone before the bridge to the grass zone. Crafts Spirit shards. This is likely the official name for the altar previously referred to informally on this wiki as "the Payasan altar" — all Spirit Shard crafting reports point to this one location — but that equivalence is an inference from the recipe list rather than something stated outright in-game; treat it as presumed, not confirmed, until a direct screenshot settles it.

Both areas are visible on the world map screenshot "World map overview.png" (upload pending). Where the Void and Warp shard combines are performed (which altar, or any altar) is unconfirmed.

Known Recipes

Seven recipes are verified in-game: five convert raw materials into shards at the two named altars above, and two combine existing shards into higher shards. Input quantities and level requirements for all five altar recipes are now confirmed (verified in-game, July 2026); output quantities per craft, and XP values, remain unknown for every recipe. Feathers are dropped by Chickens.

Uses

Shards are consumed when casting Magic spells: Missile-tier spells use elemental shards plus a Spirit Shard, and Blast-tier spells use elemental shards plus a Void Shard — see Magic and the spell pages for per-cast costs. Warp Shard has no in-game use observed yet.
