Overview

Dracaena trees grow south of Apache in the desert, and are chopped for Logs (verified in-game, 2026-08-28).

They are worth going out of your way for: a Dracaena gives two Logs per chop, where the ordinary green tree by the cow field in the grass zone gives one. Same item, double the yield.

This is the first resource node documented on this wiki that yields more than one item per action. Every other node recorded so far — ores, the other trees, fishing spots — has given a single item.

Yield

Tree Location Logs per chop
Dracaena South of Apache (desert) 2 × Log
Ordinary tree By the cow field (grass zone) 1 × Log

Both yield the plain Log, not a distinct wood type. That fits the game's own item catalog, which contains only four log items — Log, Oak Log, Cherry Log, and Glacial Log — with nothing Dracaena-specific.

The ordinary tree is the level-1 tree; whether the Dracaena has a Woodcutting level requirement of its own has not been checked, though no requirement was reported when chopping it.

Help verify Woodcutting level requirement and XP per chop for the Dracaena, and whether the two logs are one roll or two Accepted evidence: chopping one with the Woodcutting XP drop visible.

Notes

This also resolves which in-game tree the client's Dracaena node id refers to. Resource Nodes lists a fragmented set of tree ids (tree, Tree, tree1, tree3–tree6, plus named ones) and records that no one had tied them to specific in-game trees. The Dracaena is now placed: south of Apache.
