SankoQuest game data labels the Furnace Node Smelting in its skill field, with the action verb smelt — but Smelting is not a skill: it is absent from the player-listed 15-skill census (player report, 2026-07-05; see Skills). On this wiki, Smithing currently covers smelting, bars, and furnaces. The first furnace recipes are now player-verified (player report, 2026-07-05); the recipe rows only name a skill where the report stated one.
Furnace Locations
A furnace stands at the desert bank, north of the trout lake in the desert zone, together with a bank and an anvil (player report, 2026-07-05). The desert zone's proper in-game name is unconfirmed. The tutorial also includes smelting a bronze bar and smithing a sword before the boat to the mainland, which implies furnace and anvil access in the tutorial area, though those stations were not directly described.

Notes on these rows:
- The Iron Bar was reported to smelt "at level 15", but it is unconfirmed whether that 15 is a Mining level or a Smithing level (the datamined Smelting label is not a skill — see Skills). The recipe row therefore records the level without asserting a skill.
- The Steel Bar recipe was reported as "1 iron + 1 coal" at Smithing level 30; the iron input is recorded here as Iron Ore, and the row's source field notes that interpretation.
- Exact ore quantities per Bronze Bar and Iron Bar were not separately confirmed; those rows use the template default of one per input, and each row's source field carries that caveat so it reaches Cargo consumers.
- No XP values are confirmed for any furnace recipe.
