The name
Detec is also one of the 53 Bun companion varieties added in the 2026-10-15 Patch — as are Detec, Kev and Orange together, the three "Buns" NPCs of the desert. The "Buns" in this NPC's name evidently refers to the same SankoPets characters the companions are drawn from.
Verified Location
Buns Detec is found in Adobe Town — the settlement at the desert bank (verified in-game, July 2026). This narrows the earlier report that placed him only "nearby" the desert bank without pinning an exact spot: he is inside Adobe Town itself, though his precise position within the settlement is still not recorded. Adobe Town names only this desert-bank settlement, not the broader desert zone, whose proper in-game name remains unconfirmed (see Locations).
