The name
Kev is also one of the 53 Bun companion varieties added in the 2026-10-15 Patch — as are Detec, Kev and Orange together, the three "Buns" NPCs of the desert. The "Buns" in this NPC's name evidently refers to the same SankoPets characters the companions are drawn from.
Verified Location
Buns Kev stands at the desert bank — the bank with a furnace and an anvil north of the desert lake, the same bank area where Buns Remilio keeps shop (verified in-game, July 2026). This desert-bank cluster is known as Adobe Town (verified in-game, July 2026); Adobe Town refers to the settlement at the bank itself, not the broader desert zone, whose proper in-game name remains unconfirmed (see Locations).

Dialogue
Spoken to at the desert bank, Buns Kev delivers a single line (verified in-game, July 2026):
Buns Kev: A clue is just an object that has started believing in itself.
Verified
The line is read by players as a hint for Desert Adventure, whose journal objective reads "Find the hidden oasis in the desert." (File:Desert Adventure journal entry.png). No in-game text connects Buns Kev to that quest, and the location of the oasis remains unknown.
