SankoQuest:Unreleased content
A survey of content that exists in SankoQuest's data but cannot currently be reached in play. It is kept separate from the main pages so that unreachable things are not mistaken for things worth hunting for.
Everything here is Unverified and read from the client and the public item catalog as of 2026-10-04.
Two different situations are collected below, and they are worth keeping apart:
- Built but not released — the item has stats or an object definition, but does not exist in the live game at all.
- Exists but unplaced — the thing is fully live and obtainable in principle, but nobody has found where in the world it is.
Built but not released
The Runite tier
Thirteen Runite items have complete stat blocks in the client: 2hd Sword, Arrow, Axe, Boots, Chestplate, Gauntlets, Helmet, Katana, Kiteshield, Leggings, Pickaxe, Shield and Short Sword.
None of them is in the live item catalog. They cannot drop, be bought, or be made. Runite is the finished next tier above Adamantite, sitting and waiting.
The three amulets
Magician's Amulet, Warrior's Amulet and Power Amulet have full stat blocks and are likewise absent from the live catalog. The catalog has no neck-slot category at all.
Both of these were announced: the 2026-07-07 Patch listed "Coming soon as rare drops: New Armor/Weapon Metal Tiers, Combat amulets". The metal tiers arrived in two halves — Mithril and Adamantite went live, Runite did not — and the amulets have not arrived at all.
Exists but unplaced
Glacial equipment — found, not unreleased
This is the most coherent cluster, and the most interesting.
A complete glacial production chain exists and is fully live:
- Glacial Tree — a real node in the object registry, with a chop verb, and a depleted variant.
- Glacial Log — "A frost-hardened glacial log", in the catalog.
- Unstrung Glacial Bow and Glacial Bow — "A bow crafted from glacial wood".
The Glacial Bow is genuinely obtainable, as a Plasma Spider drop, and its 25 Archery requirement is confirmed in play. So the end of the chain works.
No glacial tree had ever been found in play, and Woodcutting recorded the glacial tier as uncharted from July onward.
That is now resolved, and this section's original guess was wrong. An earlier version of this page suggested the glacial chain was waiting on the teased snow expansion. It is not. The world map's own marker data places two glacial trees in the live world: one at map position x 287, y 317, and a "northern glacial grove" at x 240, y 415. Both carry the map's Rare Tree icon, alongside the three cherry trees.
So the glacial chain is not unreleased at all — it is simply unexplored. The trees are there; nobody has walked to them. See Locations.
This is a good illustration of why "nobody has found it" and "it does not exist yet" are worth keeping apart. The snow expansion east of Payasan is still teased and unshipped, but the glacial trees were never part of it.
Gold
Gold Ore and Gold Bar are both live catalog items — and there is no way to obtain either.
The object registry contains mineable nodes for copper, tin, coal and iron, and no gold node. The string gold_ore does not appear anywhere in the client. So gold cannot currently be mined, and with no ore there is nothing to smelt into a bar.
Whether gold is intended for the snow expansion, for a later mining tier, or was simply added early is not something the data answers.
Pine
A Pine Tree node exists, with a chop verb and a depleted variant — but no Pine Log item exists in the catalog. Chopping one, if one could be found, would have nothing to yield. This has been flagged as an anomaly on Woodcutting since July and is unchanged.
Wheat
A wheat node exists with a harvest verb, and no Wheat item exists. The same shape as Pine: a node with nothing to give.

Help verify whether a gold node, pine log or wheat item exists anywhere in the current world; and confirmation that the two mapped glacial trees can actually be chopped Accepted evidence: walking to the mapped glacial trees, and exploration elsewhere.
