Gameplay Notes

Scorpions drop Scorpion Carapaces as of the 2026-10-02 Patch — bound with Processed Flax at a Crafting Station to make Ranger armour. That makes the scorpion the source of the game's only known route to the Ranger set.

Which of the two scorpion populations drops carapaces, at what rate, and whether combat level matters are all unknown.

Unverified

Scorpions west of the desert bank, in the copper and tin mining area, are combat level 14 and aggressive. Scorpions also populate the multi-combat zone east of the Giant Spider area, alongside coal rocks; the combat level of the scorpions in that zone has not been separately confirmed. Because the two populations may differ, no combat level is recorded in the infobox above. Health and other combat stats remain unverified.

Note also that the level-14 population is aggressive, and the 2026-07-30 Patch established that aggressive NPCs stop attacking on sight once your combat level is more than twice theirs — so they stop being a nuisance from combat level 29. The desert zone's proper in-game name is unconfirmed; it is referred to here as "the desert zone".
